Beyond the instruments

Anyone can ship you a sensor. The hard part is a system that works on the day it matters: the right instruments in the right places, installed and commissioned properly, calibrated, and still supported a decade later. Canterbury Seismic does all of it, so there is one team accountable from the sensor on the wall to the answer on the screen, and no chain of third parties to coordinate when something needs attention.
Design and scope. We size the array to the decision you have to make, not to a catalogue. Right-sized: pay for the grade and the number of points each structure actually needs.
Supply and install. We deliver and install the instruments, the EQR-C recorder and the cabling, indoors, outdoors, remote or roped-in. Solar-powered installs proven on remote sites.
Commission and calibrate. We commission the array, verify timing and triggering, and hand it over working, integrated into your systems and your response plan.
Support for the life of the asset. Firmware, calibration, warranty (up to seven years) and a person who answers, not a ticket bot. The people who support it built it.
When the instrument, the software and the install come from different vendors, the gaps between them become your problem, and the argument about whose fault a failure is happens on your time. With one team, the accountability is undivided: we designed it, we built it, we installed it, and we stand behind the result. That is the difference between buying instruments and buying monitoring that works.
Our instruments are designed, built, installed and supported by one team, on structures from a single building to national networks, across more than two decades and multiple continents. When it mattered, on real major earthquakes, the systems held and the data was there. Supplied and supported by the people who make the hardware.
Tell us what you are measuring and the decision it has to support. We will scope the instruments, the install and the support that fit, and leave out what does not.
Both. We design, supply, install and commission the system, then support it for the life of the deployment. You can also buy instruments alone and self-install; most owners of critical assets prefer we hand it over working.
The team that built it. Firmware, calibration, warranty and technical support come direct from Canterbury Seismic, not a distributor or a third-party integrator.
Yes. Our instruments and services are delivered internationally; our people have installed and supported systems across multiple continents.
One year standard, extendable up to seven years. Support and calibration continue for the life of the deployment.
Yes. We commission thresholds, relays and alerts into your SCADA/PLC and your response plan, so the system fits how you already operate.
