Shipping
Canterbury Seismic Instruments Ltd (CSI) offers free standard shipping to eligible destinations, as displayed at checkout. Free shipping includes standard freight to the delivery address specified in the customer’s order, together with applicable customs duties and import taxes, unless otherwise stated at checkout or agreed in writing.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, goods are supplied DDP—the delivery address specified in the order—Incoterms® 2020.
CSI will arrange and pay for transportation to the specified delivery address and will be responsible for export clearance, transit formalities, import clearance, customs duties, tariffs and applicable import taxes.
Risk of loss or damage remains with CSI until the goods are placed at the customer’s disposal at the specified delivery address, on the arriving means of transport and ready for unloading. The customer is responsible for unloading the goods and for any associated unloading equipment, labour, site access or handling costs.
Free standard shipping does not include expedited delivery, specialist transportation, installation, unloading, crane or lifting services, inside delivery or other services not included in CSI’s standard delivery service. Any additional charges for these services will be disclosed at checkout or agreed with the customer before dispatch.
The customer must provide complete and accurate delivery, tax and import information and must reasonably assist CSI with any information or documentation required to complete delivery or customs clearance. The customer may be responsible for additional costs caused by incorrect information, refusal or failure to accept delivery, unavailable site access, storage, redelivery or other circumstances within the customer’s control.
Estimated dispatch and delivery dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. CSI is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, border-clearance processes, government action or events outside CSI’s reasonable control.
Customers must inspect the goods promptly upon delivery. Any apparent transit damage, shortage or delivery discrepancy must be recorded with the carrier where practicable and notified to CSI within five business days of delivery.
